Day 4/30:
I just found these pictures in an email that had been long lost amongst a plethora of many other sporadic emails in my inbox.
This photo was taken by my eldest sister, Holly, while we were in Adelaide, South Australia, awaiting a confirmation on our campervan reservations, and fittingly keeping ourselves preoccupied with a 500 piece puzzle of Ayres Rock.
On her way to spend a year in American Samoa, Holly stopped by and visited me in AU. We spent the next three months backpacking Southern Australia and having some of the most intense experiences.
I never even realized this photo was taken until today, when I discovered it.
It’s a bittersweet feeling, looking at this photo, remembering the time and place when it was taken. What was going on, where we were, both physically and emotionally. It feels like life was so different then, and yet, it was only four months ago.
I miss my sister(s) and am excited for the time when we all get to see each other again :)
Until then, here’s to 500 piece puzzles
